At home in Kamogawa City, Japan, I like to take a break from the hectic pace of work. I have a modestly sized cellar, but quality is more important than quantity. It is 99% red, 75% California, 20% Bordeaux, 4% Australian, and some strange concoctions make up the rest. Should you be visiting Japan, and the dates are convenient, consider attending a monthly tasting of the Tokyo Wine Society. Also, an eclectic ex-pat wino group can be assembled at almost a moment's notice. I am a regular poster on the West Coast Wine Discussion Network, a great site for novices and experts. I subscribe to the idea that life is too short to drink bad wine. More as this site ages, the tannins smooth out a bit, and it matures. Drink well and smile often. Visited the Windy City and the Chicago Wine Company's annual Fete du Bordeaux. If you desire a copy of my tasting notes from that event, I would be pleased to share them Below I am with M. Jean-Michel Cazes, owner of Chateau Lynch Bages, and his lovely daughter Mme. Kinou Cazes.
I am not certain where I am going with this site, but the answer is somewhere. I'd like it to be wine related, and to add content that will contribute to the enjoyment of wine. I usually affix a wine label on the back of wines that I give to friends. I have drawn one ever year beginning in 1996. Below is the series:

And, NO site would be complete without fish stories! (Click to enlarge photos)
(L) Off the coast of Honshu, near Miyake Island (Japan) - Blue Marlin, 110Kg on 80Lb test line (IGFA rules), 1 hour and 10 minutes to boat. Dr. Kameda is on my right with his fish, 126Kg, 50 minutes to boat. Drinking wine and fishing, complimentary passions! Roederer Estate Cristal is the perfect accompaniment to fresh grilled Blue Marlin. Middle: Jack Crevelle off the coast of Conta Dora (Panama), R: Mahi Mahi out of Kona, Hawaii.
